FUNCTION

ValveShield was developed to eliminate unwanted debris in valve boxes down to .02 microns with a 98.7% capture rate. The Shield is designed to fit into most casting manufactures screw type adjustable cast riser sections. The shield itself contains a structurally stable integral thread that simply uses the castings own internal threads as its installation base. A non-screw type ValveShield is also available.

COLORED HANDLE COVER FUNCTIONS

ValveShield’s handle can hold an RFID or microchip tag identifier within it so maintenance crews will know exactly which valve they are at. With integration into a GIS database, exact pertinent information can be field accessed and verified. Color-coded handles can be proprietary of the water system that is using the ValveShield. Variable colors and shades can be made.

FILTER CONSIDERATIONS

Filter size is approximately 4” in diameter by 14” in length. The nylon mesh filtration size is variable, based on the region of the country the shield is to be used. The filters are reusable and are manufactured by PALL Corporation - a Worldwide Leader in Filtration. Other filter sizes are available upon request.
